Maiden is a small community of approximately 3,200 residents located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. Residents enjoy a close proximity to the Hickory and Charlotte Metro Areas. These areas provide a wide range of shopping, restaurants, recreation, and tourist activities.

The Maiden community enjoys four distinct seasons each year with warm summers, beautiful foliage in the fall, snowy winters, and a beautiful spring season. Residents during the summer enjoy evening walks, trips to local lakes, picnics at Town and State Parks and a variety of sporting events. The fall season brings out the entire community to give support to the Maiden High School Blue Devil football team and its rich and storied history.
