1. TOWN MANAGER (Full-time, 1 Position)
Population 3,367. Council/Manager form of government (mayor and 5 council members). 38 full time employees including: volunteer fire department, 14 full time police officers, 3 parks, 3 ball fields, multi-purpose community center, and water/sewer/electrical enterprises. Manager shall direct and supervise all departments, offices, and agencies of the town through the department heads; serves as budget officer and assistant finance officer for a $13m operating budget.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Public Administration or Business Administration is desired, supplemented by advanced courses and seminars from the Institute of Government relevant to municipal function.

2. SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD (Part-time, 1 Position)
Under general supervision, this position will perform tasks to include: directing and controlling vehicular traffic with voice, arm, and hand signals, directing children and others to cross road with voice, arm, and hand signals, ensure crosswalks are clear of vehicles to enable pedestrians to cross, and any other associated duties to position.
REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalency. A valid North Carolina driver's license. Ability to attend and successfully complete annual training for school crossing guards. Must be able to pass background record check, physical, and drug testing requirements. Position will typically work one hour per day, 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes in mid afternoon, each day school is in session.

3. TOWN OF MAIDEN LEAD MECHANIC (Full-time, 1 position)
The Town of Maiden is now accepting applications for a Lead Mechanic position. Under general supervision, performs lead skilled work in repairing and maintaining automobiles, light and heavy duty trucks, heavy field equipment including diesel equipment; performs record maintenance and administrative work of the town's equipment, administers an overall fleet preventative maintenance program; performs related work as required.
