On behalf of the town council and staff, I welcome you to Maiden. We hope you enjoy this website and learn more about our corner of Catawba and Lincoln County.

With its small-town charm, lovely neighborhoods, enjoyable parks, diverse local economy, and a short commute to an international airport, it is no wonder why Maiden is growing. However, the true strength of Maiden is our citizens, businesses, and community volunteers.

Not only is Maiden a place where some of the world’s largest companies conduct business, but our Main Street is in the beginning stages of what I believe to be a great resurgence. I am excited about the partnership between the town and the newly formed Maiden Business Association.

Maiden, North Carolina is a place where both large and small businesses can be successful while maintaining what has always made Maiden a great place to call home! We want everyone to enjoy the Maiden experience; friendly people working together to make our town the best it can be.

Profession:  I currently work for FedEx

Education:  Graduated from Maiden High School in 1985, CVCC

Community & Government Involvement:  Since 2003, other than my current position, I have had various community involvement including Council of Government Representative, Recreation Advisory Committee,  Council Member, and Mayor Pro Tem.

What do you want the citizens of Maiden to know about you?
I have lived in Maiden my whole life. I want the citizens to know that their voices, desires, and choices will always be my top-rated agenda.

Why did you run for Mayor?
My 18 years in local government have taught me how to be a good listener, a careful decision maker, a problem solver, and the ability to seize the right opportunity that is good and suitable for our town. I want to continue to make my hometown a safe and desirable place for citizens to live, work, and play.

Any personal info you would like to provide, hobbies, kids, how long  you have lived in Maiden?
I have lived in Maiden for 55 years and raised my two sons here. I am proud to call Maiden home.
